One of my favorite things is to get by the warmth of a fireplace in the winter. We all know that winter is moving by, and that fireplaces will be forgotten for at least a portion of the year until things start getting cold again, but now is ideally the time to start building one. The best fireplace designs are the ones that are simple in most cases.

How large of a family do you have, and also how much heat do you need to be putting out for the size of the room that you have the fireplace in?
